OUR STUDIO

As the only full service photography studio in Lauderdale County, we can create your portraits, provide large or small prints in various materials, custom create photo books and albums, frame your portraits, or create other photo products for your home or office. We can also provide restoration services for your existing photographs which might have become faded or damaged.

Our large climate-controlled studio gives us the freedom to create photos in any weather condition or time of day. Our collection of indoor sets and backdrops is continually expanding and allows us to create unique looks for each subject. We also shoot many sessions outdoors and on-location, depending on our client’s preferences. We use the latest technology for presenting customers digital full-size previews of their photos including frames, and even the ability to see how their photos will look in their homes.

Stan York Photography is located on the Historic Court Square in downtown Ripley, Tennessee. In addition, gardens and rural vignettes are maintained in rural Lauderdale County, Tennessee for outdoor portrait sessions. Many portrait sessions are completed on-location.

ABOUT STAN

Stan's first photos were black and white prints of his children created more than 40 years ago using a second-hand camera and printed in a temporary makeshift darkroom. As time passed, the photographic journey continued and grew, eventually including diverse areas such as portraits, weddings, sports and equine events, landscapes, and travel photos. His images and writing have been published in magazines, newspapers, religious publications, and posters.

Stan also regularly travels to other parts of the United States and Europe creating beautiful images, which are available for purchase as wall decor and custom note cards.

Stan is a member of Professional Photographers of America, an organization consisting of more than 30,000 photographers world-wide and regularly attends training to enhance his skills and to be able to provide customers with the latest technology and products.

During the last several years, Stan has become more specialized in portraiture, focusing on high school seniors, children, and families. These categories of photographs are destined to become our family memories and heirlooms to be passed down to future generations.
